Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Western District

Shooting: A 22-year-old woman was standing with several other people in the 900 block of N. Calhoun St. about 7 p.m. Tuesday when one of two men in a passing champagne-colored Infiniti-245 fired several shots at the group. One of the bullets struck the woman, who was an unintended target. She was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Shooting: A man with a .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun shot another man four times in the 2100 block of Edmondson Ave. about 12: 30 p.m. Tuesday. The victim was in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southern District

Shooting: A man was shot by another man during a drug-related incident Tuesday in a house in the 900 block of W. Lombard St. The victim was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A man was in the 4300 block of Kathland Ave. about 8 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman stole his wallet containing an undisclosed sum of money.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A woman was about to enter an apartment building in the 200 block of Stonecroft Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed her of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $400.

Eastern District

Assault: Two men attacked a 17-year-old girl in the 2700 block of Ashland Ave. Tuesday, striking her with a baseball bat and stabbing her with a knife. She suffered a punctured lung and lacerations and was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Northern District

Theft: Cash and property, all valued at more than $600, was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 4800 block of Roland Ave.

Theft: More than $1,000 was stolen from a cookie jar in the Golden Crown restaurant in the 3300 block of Greenmount Ave. on Tuesday.

North Point Precinct

Theft: An 18-year-old woman was detained Tuesday after she attempted to leave Value City department store in the 7800 block of Eastern Ave. without paying for shoes and jewelry, all valued at nearly $90. The woman was released after presenting identification. Theft charges were pending.

Theft: Police were seeking a 30-year-old woman who moved out of her apartment in the 2000 block of Paulette Road on Tuesday and took her roommate's television, two videocassette recorders and a microwave oven, all valued at nearly $600.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: Jewelry valued at $1,700 was stolen Tuesday from the bedroom of a house in the 4800 block of Hydes Road.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A gunman forced two men to the rear of a building in the 7600 block of York Road about 2 a.m. Tuesday and robbed them of $32 and a bank machine card.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Silverware and jewelry, all valued at $7,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3900 block of Dance Mill Road.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 500 block of Morris Ave. through a second-floor window after climbing onto a porch roof Tuesday and stole a ring valued at $200.
