Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 10200 block of Breconshire Road: A bicycle was taken from a locked garage Thursday or Friday.

Ellicott City: 5100 block of Morningside Lane: A bicycle was stolen from a garage Sunday.

Ellicott City: 9200 block of U.S. 40: Someone broke into the Dessert Cafe on Sunday by unlocking the sliding door that joins the cafe with the Subway shop. The man was scared off by an employee who was cleaning up.

Ellicott City: 3300 block of N. Chatham Road: A gold 1988 Acura Legend, Maryland license plate 470-BBM, was stolen Friday.

Ellicott City: 1000 block of Century Drive: A blue 1988 Chevrolet Nova, Maryland license plate XKL-745, was stolen Wednesday or Thursday.

Long Reach: 8700 block of Cloudleap Court: Four people were robbed at gunpoint while walking on a parking lot Friday. Police said two men approached, put a 9-mm pistol to a victim's head and demanded money. A wallet, purse, cash and credit cards were taken. The pair fled on a path.

Owen Brown: 6700 block of Alexander Bell Drive: A green 1997 Pontiac, Maryland license plate EJG-234, was stolen Wednesday.

Wilde Lake: 10400 block of Green Mountain Circle: A bicycle was stolen from a garage between Sept. 4 and Sunday.

North Laurel: 9400 block of Mayflower Court: Camera equipment was stolen from a townhouse Friday. Police believe the robber entered the house through an unlocked door.

Jessup: 7200 block of Montevideo Road: Tires were stolen from Columbia Fleet service Saturday or Sunday.

North Laurel: 10100 block of U.S. 1: A green 1997 Subaru Legend, Maryland license plate DHB-704, was stolen between Friday and Sunday.

Savage: 8600 block of Foundry Street: Someone tried to steal a red 1991 Ford Festiva between Friday and Sunday.
