Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Western District

Officers assaulted: While trying to arrest a man suspected of possessing drugs in the 600 block of N. Dukeland St. on Sunday, Officers Michael Baronella, 26, and Eric Isom, 30, were assaulted by the suspect. Baronella suffered a broken left ring finger and was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Isom was struck but not injured. Police found a quantity of suspected cocaine and $66 in the suspect's possession. Steven Random, 36, of the 3000 block of Harlem Ave. was charged with assaulting the officers and possession of narcotics.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A man was in the 4200 block of Woodridge Road about 6 a.m. Sunday when another man placed a hard object in his back and robbed him of his wallet and cash, all valued at $30.

Burglary: Property valued at nearly $2,500 was stolen Thursday from a house in the 4200 block of Old Frederick Road. Taken were $325 in cash, a gold wedding ring, two pairs of gold earrings, a gold bracelet, two cases of baby formula, boots, a watch, a videocassette recorder and other property. The burglary was reported Sunday.

Robbery: A 12-year-old boy was riding his mountain bike in the 1400 block of Gusryan St. about 6 p.m. Sunday when four youths knocked him to the pavement and stole the bike.

Stolen car: A 1990 Jeep Comanche with tags 95263M was stolen Sunday in the 700 block of S. Streeper St.

Robbery: Police were seeking two men who assaulted a 69-year-old man in the 1900 block of Fleet St. about 8 p.m. Sunday and robbed him of cash and property, all valued at more than $200.

Eastern District

Shooting/theft/arrest: A woman went under a crime scene tape police had set up after a shooting in the 2400 block of E. Oliver St. about 5 p.m. Sunday and stole the shooting victim's shirt, which had been left behind and had $25 in a pocket. The woman was arrested nearby, and the shirt and money were recovered. Christine Langley, 38, of the 1300 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. was charged with theft. The victim, a 31-year-old man, was shot in the chest after leaving a carryout and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Carjacking: A motorist was stopped in the 1600 block of E. Oliver St. about 5 p.m. Sunday when a man approached her and appeared to ask her a question. When the woman turned off the car radio to hear what he was saying, the man implied he was armed with a handgun, robbed her of $3,000 worth of jewelry and stole the car, a 1997 Saturn with tags EFF 258.

Northern District

Robbery: A man was struck in the 500 block of E. 27th St. about 9 p.m. Sunday when a man hit him in the head with a brick and stole his 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier with tags ETY 098. The victim was treated at Union Memorial Hospital. The robber had an accomplice.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the High's dairy store in the 8200 block of Philadelphia Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 10 p.m. Sunday.

North Point Precinct

Theft: After an employee placed an envelope containing more than $1,000 under the locked office door at the Dunkin Donuts in the 7800 block of Eastern Blvd. between Sept. 5 and Sept. 10, someone used an unknown device to retrieve the envelope from outside the office.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A 56-year-old woman was in the 8100 block of Harford Road about 12: 15 a.m. Sunday when a man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed her of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $40.

Cockeysville Precinct

Bank robbery: A gunman robbed First Mariner Bank in the 1700 block of York Road of an undisclosed sum of money about noon Saturday.
