Samuel J. Lovett, 69, construction worker

Samuel J. Lovett, a retired construction worker, died of pancreatitis Saturday at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was 69.

Mr. Lovett worked for a Baltimore construction company for 25 years until he retired in 1971, when he moved to Greenwood, Del.

The Baltimore native moved to Arnold in the 1950s.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St., Seaford, Del.

A son, Samuel Lovett, died in 1975.

Mr. Lovett is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Lovett; four daughters, Renee Spain of Denton, Wanda Lovett of Wilmington, Del., and Kim Sylvester and Lori Eaton, both of Greenwood; a brother, Bernard Lovett, and a sister, Margaret Lloyd, both of Baltimore; eight grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
