Pennysaver names Daniel Aquilino advertising director

Pennysaver Group announced the selection of Daniel Aquilino as director of advertising. He will supervise operation and sales of the classified and retail ad departments.

The Catholic University graduate was display ad director with the Washington-based Journal Newspapers before joining the weekly shoppers publication in 1991.

He is a member of the International Newspaper Advertising Executives and is active in other professional groups, including the Advertising Association of Baltimore.

The Annapolitan, an assisted-living facility in the state capital, has appointed Aimee A. Pack as director of food services and head chef.

She will oversee all daily operations of the dining areas and kitchens for the facility.

A graduate of Radford University, the Annapolis resident is also Serve-Safe program certified by the National Restaurant Association.

Joan Fritz joins Kaiser Associates

Kaiser Associates announced that Joan Fritz joined the Baltimore agency as an assistant account executive.

The Salisbury University graduate was formerly a customer service representative with the Carroll County Times.

Weinberg, Harris names Francis account executive

Weinberg, Harris & Associates has chosen Elizabeth Francis as an account executive for the Pikesville advertising and public relations house.

A graduate of Hood College, the Sykesville resident was formerly with WBAL-TV as a promotions coordinator. She is active in the Baltimore Public Relations Council and Carroll County Neighbors Need.

Mueller named senior V.P. at Annapolis National Bank

Annapolis National Bank selected Lori J. Mueller as its senior vice president for administration and marketing.

Her primary responsibilities will be branch network and deposit account administration, marketing and public relations.

Prior to joining the bank in 1990, she had been a vice president with the Annapolis-based Bay National Bank.

Hughes to direct recruiting at Lincoln Financial

Lincoln Financial Advisors, with offices in Lutherville, named Brian J. D. Hughes director of recruiting and development, with responsibility for recruiting, training, supervision and continuing education of LFA associates.

The Tampa University graduate joined the firm in 1989 as regional director of disability sales.

University of Maryland Medical System announced that Ira R. Allen has joined its department of public affairs & communications as assistant director of media relations.

He will work with area reporters and editors in defining and identifying newsworthy developments within the medical system.

A 25-year veteran journalist and United Press International Washington reporter, he was most recently with the National Association of Children's Hospitals & Related Institutions.
