The U. S. Geological Survey has announced that the location of the geographical center of Maryland is three miles east of Collington, across the Patuxent in Anne Arundel County's second district. -- The Sun, Sept. 8, 1922.

Anne Arundel County superintendent of education George Fox forecasts a banner year when schools open on the 13th. Annapolis High School is expecting an enrollment of 400. -- The Sun, Sept. 11, 1922.

A second Ku Klux Klan initiation in Anne Arundel County was held last night at Mayo with 15 new members inducted. The other initiation was at Horn Pont, Eastport, last week when 25 joined. -- The Sun, Sept. 15, 1922.

Nine horses perished and grain and farm implements were destroyed in a fire in the barn of W. T. Greives on Marley Creek last night. The loss is estimated at $7,000. -- The Sun, Sept. 29, 1922.
