Governor appoints McKillip to HCC board of trustees

Thomas W. McKillip, a consultant to private industry and an Ellicott City resident, has been appointed to the Howard Community College board of trustees by Gov. Parris N. Glendening.

McKillip serves on the college's Educational Foundation Board, and chaired its annual giving campaign. He also serves on the board of directors of Christmas in April and Howard County Technology Council.

McKillip, who was appointed to a six-year term, beginning July 1, replaces Gerald E. Brock, who retired from the board.

David A. Rakes has been elected chairman of the board of trustees for the 1997-1998 academic year.

Joan I. Athen will be vice chairwoman. Education
