Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Southeastern District

Robbery try/arrest: An unidentified suspect was arrested about 3 p.m. yesterday shortly after a holdup attempt at Hopkins Federal Savings & Loan in the 100 block of S. Eaton St. Police said a man gave a holdup note to a teller, but fled when she backed away from her office station.

Western District

Drug arrests: Officer David Shields arrested three men early Tuesday in the 2200 block of W. Lanvale St., and seized suspected marijuana, cocaine and heroin, along with a counterfeit $20 bill. Charged with possession of suspected narcotics were Nathaniel Jacobs, 31, of the 1900 block of N. Smallwood St.; Terrence Pevic, 42, of the 800 block of Appleton St.; and Kenan Johnson, 28, of the 2200 block of Orleans St.

Carjacking: A motorist was robbed of his 1989 Buick with tags DKP 836 about 4 p.m. Tuesday after picking up a man who had asked for a ride. In the 1900 block of W. North Ave., the passenger pulled a knife and ordered the motorist out of the car.

Carjacking: A motorist was forced out of his car in the 2400 block of Windsor Ave. about 8 p.m. Tuesday by a gunman who stole his 1991, four-door maroon Ford Escort with tags YGX 462.

Northwestern District

Carjacking: A woman was about to get out of her car in the 4000 block of Annellen Road about 6: 30 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman forced her from the vehicle, a 1996 Buick Regal with tags EHH 831, and drove off. Also taken was the woman's purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.

Carjacking: A 30-year-old motorist was stopped in the 3800 block of W. Cold Spring Lane about 1 a.m. Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun and the other a knife, forced him from his red 1992 Pontiac Grand Am with tags DKP 782, and drove away in the vehicle.

Shooting: A man was talking on a pay phone in the 2900 block of Wynham Road on Tuesday night when a gunman approached and shot him in the groin. The victim was in stable condition at Sinai Hospital.

Eastern District

Stabbing: Two women were struggling over a handgun in the 1200 block of N. Caroline St. about 9 a.m. Tuesday when a third woman approached the pair and stabbed one of them in the back with a knife. The injured woman was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Police obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect.

North Point Precinct

Burglary/arrest: Police investigating a burglary Tuesday found and arrested a 30-year-old East Baltimore woman in a house in the 6800 block of Boston Ave. Entry had been gained through a door.

Burglary: Two leather coats and television games, all valued at $1,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 800 block of N. Avondale Road by someone who entered through a window.

Theft/arrest: A 32-year-old Northeast Baltimore man was arrested Tuesday when he tried to leave Value City in the 7700 block of Eastern Blvd. without paying for clothing valued at more than $100.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Two TVs, a videocassette recorder, compact disc player and a camera, all valued at more than $2,000, were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the first block of Cedarburg Court by someone who entered through a hallway access panel.
