Brahms tribute

The Peabody Conservatory opens its concert season tomorrow with a centennial tribute to Brahms in the form of performances of the master's chamber music by members of the conservatory's faculty. The wonderful repertory includes the Piano Trio in C major, the Piano Quintet in F minor and the rarely heard Two Songs for Mezzo-Soprano, Viola and Piano. The performers include violinists Martin Beaver and Min Jung Kang, violist Victoria Chiang, pianist Marian Hahn and cellists Stephen Kates and Thomas Kraines.

In Friedberg Concert Hall, 1 East Mount Vernon Place, at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Tickets are $16 (general admission), $8 (senior citizens) and $5 (for students with ID). For more information or for tickets, call 410-659-8124.
