Nicole Brooks



Brooks, a senior forward, totaled five goals as Catholic, the area's top-ranked team this week, won two games in the Good Counsel Tournament. Brooks had four goals in a 6-1 win over Pius IV (Va.) and one goal in a 2-0 win over Good Counsel.

Jason Leneau

Boys' Latin


A senior running back, Leneau ran for 205 yards on 24 carries and scored on touchdowns runs of 55 and 15 yards in the Lakers season-opening win over St. Jame's (45-0).

Gerald Smith



Smith scored five touchdowns and had 309 yards of total offense as the Lions defeated Southwestern (49-20). The sophomore running back had touchdown runs of 52 and 11 yards, caught a 42-yard pass for a touchdown and scored on two punt returns.

At the end of the school year, each player chosen as an Athlete of the Week will be invited to a luncheon at the Towson Sheraton, where one male and one female Athlete of the Year will be chosen.
