Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Elkridge: 5700 block of Railroad Avenue: Police said three men approached a pizza deliveryman Friday while he was attempting to make a delivery and demanded a pizza. The deliveryman drove away.

Elkridge: 6800 block of Ducketts Lane: A videocassette recorder and jewelry were taken from a house Saturday after burglars entered through a rear door.

Ellicott City: 4900 block of Waterloo Road: Someone broke into the Watermont Pharmacy on Thursday or Friday. An attempt was made to force open the safe.

Ellicott City: 10300 block of Burnside Drive: Someone broke into a house under construction and spray-painted the interior walls between Friday and Sunday.

Owen Brown: 7000 block of Melting Shadows: A newly built house was broken into Saturday. Police said the intruders were homeless and were using the house as a place to sleep.

North Laurel: 9300 block of Canterbury Riding: Someone broke into a vacant townhouse Saturday. Nothing was taken.

North Laurel: 9000 block of Dumhart Road: Tools were stolen from a house between Aug. 24 and Friday.
