Dodgers: The team has scored in the first inning in 12 of its past 19 games. It has scored 26 first-inning runs in those 12 games and has a 10-2 record.

Padres: Before the game, the team honored the Little League World Series champion Guadalupe-Linda Vista Vaqueros from Nueva Leon, Mexico.
