Sept. 7: CECIL RACES -- The fall meeting over the Central course at Elkton, commences on Tuesday, the 12th of October, and will continue three days, to be governed by the rules and regulations of the Canton Jockey Club, Baltimore.

Sept. 10: The county commissioners of Anne Arundel County will unite in the proceedings against the city to prevent Mrs. Mary Sansone, the leper, from being located at the old quarantine station in Anne Arundel County.

Sept. 11: Robert Poole obtained an injunction yesterday restraining the Falls Road Electric Railway Company from constructing its proposed line on Union Avenue from the Falls Road to Railroad Avenue as authorized by an ordinance of the city.

Sept. 13: A 74-year-old woman was strangled yesterday when her dress became entangled in the shaft of her washing machine and tightened around her neck, police reported. The woman, Mrs. Nellie Ziegler, of the 1200 block Battery Avenue, was doing her washing in her back yard.
