Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Central District

Assault: A man stabbed a 20-year-old patron of the Plaza Bar in the 400 block of E. Baltimore St. her in the back Monday with a syringe. The woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center.

Theft: A lap-top computer valued at more than $2,500 was stolen Tuesday from Maryland Institute, College of Art in the 1300 block of W. Mount Royal Ave.

Southern District

Robbery: A man was riding his mountain bike in the 3400 block of S. Hanover St. about 5 p.m. Tuesday when he was shoved to the ground by another man who stole the bike, valued at $100, and the victim's wallet containing a small sum of cash.

Eastern District

Burglary: Hand tools, jewelry and cash, all valued at $400, were stolen from Vince's Motors Inc. in the 4400 block of E. Monument St. on Aug. 31 or Sept. 1.

Robbery: An employee of Johns Hopkins Hospital was in the 800 block of Rutland Ave. about 1 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of more than $300 he had withdrawn earlier from his credit union account.

Western District

Burglary: A videocassette recorder, and electronic games and their cartridges, all valued at more than $700, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1800 block of Presstman St.

Burglary: A ceiling fan valued at more than $200 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 500 block of N. Fulton Ave.

Theft: Someone stole more than $300 worth of clothing that a resident of the 200 block of N. Payson St. had placed near the front door of her house Tuesday to take to a charity.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Stereo equipment and a leather jacket, all valued at nearly $500, were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 3400 block of Dolfield Ave.

White Marsh Precinct

Rape: A 17-year-old girl was walking along Delegge and Havenoak roads Tuesday when a man forced her into the yard of a nearby house and raped her. The girl was treated at the rape crisis center at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and released.

Robbery: A motorist was stopped at Rossville Boulevard and Franklin Square Drive about 4 a.m. Tuesday when a man robbed him of more than $100.

Parkville Precinct

Shooting: A woman was shot in the face about 3 a.m. yesterday when a bullet pierced the wall of her apartment in the first block of Fitzgerald Court. The woman was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and released. Police arrested a suspect.

Bank robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed the First Union Bank in the 9600 block of Harford Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Bank robbery: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed the Mercantile Bank & Trust in the 2000 block of E. Joppa Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 9 a.m. Tuesday. The robber gave a teller a note demanding money.

Escapee arrested: William Paul Anthony, 32, who escaped from the Wilkens Precinct lockup on Aug. 31 by pretending to be another inmate, was arrested yesterday while walking with his wife near his home in the 2500 block of Marbourne Ave. in Baltimore. Police said Anthony, who was being held on theft charges when he escaped, faces escape charges.
