Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 3300 block of N. Chatham Road: A tan 1996 Honda Accord, Maryland license plate DJJ 912, was stolen Saturday.

Ellicott City: 2400 block of McKenzie Road: A cellular telephone was stolen from a house after someone opened an unlocked garage Monday.

Ellicott City: 10200 block of New Forest Court: A bicycle was taken from an open garage Monday.

Ellicott City: 8300 block of Dawn Court: A motorcycle was taken from an open garage Sunday.

Ellicott City: 8500 block of Spring Harvest Court: A cellular telephone was stolen from a home Sunday or Monday after someone kicked in the rear door.

Elkridge: 600 block of Devlon Place: Tools were taken from an unlocked shed Friday or Saturday.

Ellicott City: 2100 block of High Point Road: Tools were taken from a construction trailer Sunday or Monday. A side window was broken.

Ellicott City: 8700 block of Old Annapolis Road: Someone entered Howard High School through the roof Sunday, but ran away without taking anything.

Owen Brown: 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road: A man reported that he was assaulted by a several men as he walked in the parking lot of the Royal Farms convenience store Saturday. One man told the victim he had a gun. The victim was wrestled to the ground, kicked and beaten. After trying to take his wallet, the men ran away.

Owen Brown: 7200 block of Cradlerock Road: A man reported that he was punched in the face by another man while standing in the parking lot of Sonona's Bar on Friday night. The suspect, who tried to take the victim's wallet, ran away without getting any money.

Kings Contrivance: 7200 block of Eden Brook Drive: A youth reported Friday night that a teen-ager took his bicycle after the teen threatened to burn him with a cigarette.

Oakland Mills: 9600 block of Basket Ring Road: Supplies were stolen from the Montessori School on Monday. Someone gained access by prying off the padlock on a storage bin door.

Kings Contrivance: 9100 block of Guilford Road: Someone tried to pry open the front door of an office between Friday and Monday, but was unsuccessful.

Long Reach: 8800 block of Columbia 100 Parkway: A copper pipe and fittings were stolen from a construction trailer Sunday or Monday. Someone gained access by cutting the lock on the rear door.

Harper's Choice: 11200 block of Pear Tree Way: A gray 1990 Toyota 4Runner, Maryland license plate 935140M, was stolen Saturday.

Wilde Lake: 5000 block of Whetstone Road: Someone tried to pry open the basement window of a house Monday, but was unsuccessful.

Town Center: 10300 Little Patuxent Parkway: A 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, both of Columbia, were arrested Saturday after a victim was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money in a stairwell at The Mall in Columbia.

Town Center: 10300 Little Patuxent Parkway: A Baltimore man was arrested Saturday after police said he walked into the back room of the Gantos Store in The Mall in Columbia and took a credit card from an employee's purse. Willie Capers Williams Jr., 25, was charged with theft, police said.

River Hill: 6400 block of South Wind Circle: Someone tried to pry open the basement window of a house Sunday, but was unsuccessful.

Jessup: 8300 block of Washington Blvd.: Tools were taken from a truck at a Kimmel Truck Tire store Saturday. A padlock was removed from a fence.

Glenelg: 12700 block of Folly Quarter Road: Equipment was stolen from Glenelg Country School in two incidents Sunday. An air compressor was taken after someone pried a lock off a shed door. Tools and a hand-held radio were taken after someone pried another lock off a shed door.
