Thieves take safe from Manchester seafood restaurant

Maryland State Police are looking for thieves who pried open a rear door at Captain Bob's Seafood in Manchester on Thursday and used the store's hand truck to steal a safe.

Investigators said the burglary occurred between 9: 30 p.m. and 11 p.m., after closing and before an employee routinely arrived to check on perishable items.

The loss from checks, cash and the safe was estimated at $2,860.

Hampstead: Firefighters from Manchester assisted Hampstead at 5: 11 a.m. Thursday, responding to a house fire in the 4000 block of Black Rock Road. Units were out an hour and two minutes.

Hampstead: Firefighters from Manchester assisted Hampstead at 9: 09 a.m. Thursday for a truck fire in the 2000 block of Hanover Pike. Units were out 18 minutes.
