A carjacked Chevy Blazer spun out of control in Pikesville after a high-speed police chase yesterday afternoon and flipped over four times in a residential neighborhood, ejecting one of its four occupants and sending three to area hospitals.
Baltimore County police said the car had been stolen from Allison Silesky, of the first block of Strand Court in Owings Mills, by an armed thief Tuesday night on Le San Road in Randallstown.
Yesterday at 2: 30 p.m., police detectives spotted the car at Offutt and Liberty roads and four police cars chased it, said police spokesman Bill Toohey.
The driver turned onto Scotts Hill Drive about 50 mph, police said. The driver lost control after a sharp turn, and the vehicle flipped four times at Scotts Hill Drive and Smoke Tree Road.
One of the four occupants was ejected and taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment.
Another, pinned inside the wreckage, was transported to Shock Trauma by a MedEvac helicopter, Toohey said. A third was taken to Northwest Hospital Center for treatment.
The fourth passenger crawled out of the vehicle and was appre- hended by police. He was not injured and was taken to the Garrison precinct for questioning.
Identities of the four were not available last night.
Police said they had no details on whether the carjacker was in the vehicle at the time of the chase and crash. The gun used to steal the car was not found in the wreckage, Toohey said.
No charges had been filed, pending the investigation.
