NORTH POINT — City police were searching yesterday for the driver of a car that struck and killed a 15-year-old bicyclist in a hit-and-run incident Sunday in Northeast Baltimore.
Joshua R. Butram was struck about 9 p.m. in the 5000 block of Erdman Ave., several blocks from his home in the 900 block of N. Iris Ave., police said. He was dead at the scene.
Police said the car might have been a red Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird. Witnesses told police they saw the car slow after the youth was struck, then continue southeasterly on Erdman.
Police seek suspects, motives in two homicides
Police are seeking a motive and suspect in the fatal shooting of Kenneth Anderson, 28, of the 3500 block of Belair Road, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds shortly after midnight yesterday in the 2100 block of E. Eager St. He died about 12: 15 a.m. at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Police also were searching for a motive and suspect in the Sunday morning fatal shooting of Rocco C. Cash, 18, of the 1200 block of Travers Way in Southeast Baltimore.
Cash and friends were in back of his home when they heard gunshots and ran toward the 6500 block of Boston St., police said. A dark car pulled beside them and fired several shots. Cash was hit in the torso and died at 12: 30 a.m.
NORTH POINT -- Book bargains ranging from best sellers to cookbooks and children's books will be on sale at the "Reading's Fun Book Fair" sponsored by Baltimore County Public Library on Sept. 6, 8, and 9 at the North Point Library branch.

Two movies of romance to be shown outside in park

HUNT VALLEY -- The romance of summer will be celebrated next month at Oregon Ridge Park, with a pair of outdoor movies, each accompanied by a complimentary glass of champagne and a rose for women in the audience.
On Sept. 5, "An Affair to Remember" (1957), with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, will be shown. "Casablanca" (1942), with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, is scheduled Sept. 6. Both films, which start at 8: 45 p.m., will be preceded at 7: 30 p.m. by live music from the 1930s and 1940s with singer Pam Bricker and the Walter Salb "Time Was" Orchestra.

Ehrlich to discuss Medicare at Oak Crest Village
PARKVILLE
PARKVILLE -- U.S. Rep. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., a Baltimore County Republican, will discuss Medicare reform and other legislative issues with residents at Oak Crest Village retirement community from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting in the Oak Crest Village auditorium at 8800 Walther Blvd. will feature a question-and-answer session. The discussion will be broadcast on Oak Crest's closed-circuit television station to the campus' 1,400 residents.
