An article in yesterday's Sun incorrectly stated the number of consecutive losing quarters posted by Mid-Atlantic Medical Services Inc. of Rockville. MAMSI lost money in the last three quarters of 1996, and posted earnings of 2 cents a share in the first quarter this year and 6 cents a share in the second quarter, reported this week.

The Sun regrets the error.
