UNC Inc., which is folding its Annapolis corporate office after being purchased by General Electric, has donated a computer system to Ballet Theatre of Annapolis, thanks to ballet board member Sylvia Mitchell, who is on the staff of UNC's chief financial officer.
In addition to the hardware, which will bring Ballet Theatre's office system to the point at which it can take advantage of common word-processing and spreadsheet programs, the gift includes installing, programming and de-bugging the computers. UNC's David Oswald will manage the installation.
Deborah Harris, executive director of the ballet, estimates the gift's value at $1,200 to $1,500.
