Spring Fling in Mount Airy raises $427

Mount Airy's second annual Spring Fling attracted 29 vendors and raised $427 for the Mount Airy beautification fund, the town beautification commission said.

The spring festival, held in May, features local nurseries, crafts, business displays and performers.

Mount Airy: A resident of Eldersburg told police that someone reached through a partially open window of her vehicle while it bTC was parked in the 13000 block of Unionville Road between 10: 30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday and stole a purse containing money and prescription glasses. The loss was estimated at $650.
