Fishing derby participants get certificates
Manchester Parks Foundation recently presented certificates at its annual youth fishing derby.
Paige Shaw and Zachery Ritz caught the first fish. Kellie Pope and Laura Rill caught the last fish. Jeremy Ritz and Jeffrey Rill caught the longest fish.
The heaviest fish were caught by Kyle Forbes and Jennifer Hyde. Rickey Hyde and Matt Thurston caught the smallest fish.
Jeremy Ritz caught the most fish in his age group. In the older group, Jennifer Hyde, Zachery Ritz and Ashley Ritz caught the most.
Awards were donated by Old Reisterstown Bait 7 Tackle. The Northern Maryland Bass Club weighed and measured the fish during the derby. Miriam DePalmer printed the certificates.
Fires
Hampstead: Firefighters assisted Baltimore County at 6: 27 p.m. Thursday, responding to a barn fire in the 1300 block of Mount Carmel Road. Units were out 20 minutes.
Hampstead: Firefighters assisted Baltimore County at 7: 22 p.m. Thursday, responding to a house fire in the 5300 block of Trenton Mill Road. Units were out 20 minutes.
