Two men arrested in bank robbery

July 27, 1997|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

Two men were arrested yesterday in the robbery of a First National Bank of Maryland branch at Eastern and Highland avenues in Highlandtown -- one inside the bank moments after the robbery and the other a few hours later, police said.

The suspects, Robert R. Reagan and Joseph Storto, both 26, were charged with armed bank robbery, police said. Storto of the 5300 block of Wright Ave. was arrested in the bank immediately after the 9: 20 a.m. robbery. Reagan was arrested at a home in the 3700 block of Claremont Ave. about 11 a.m.

Police have not recovered an "undisclosed amount of U.S. currency" stolen from the bank, said a member of the robbery unit.
