Pulte Home Corp., the nation's largest homebuilder, has expanded its Baltimore Division as part of a realignment of the company's Maryland operations.
Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard, Prince George's, Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's counties are now members of the Baltimore Division, which will be headed by Jeb Bittner, formerly executive vice president for this area.
Cora Wiltshire, the previous Baltimore president, now heads the Potomac Division that covers the suburban Washington market with a focus on Montgomery and Frederick counties.
Pulte builds homes in 25 states, as well as Puerto Rico and Mexico.
Gaylord Brooks opens millwork division
Gaylord Brooks Cabinetry and Millwork LLC, the newest division of Gaylord Brooks Construction Co., has opened in Westminster.
Partners in the new division are Richard A. Moore, a principal of Gaylord Brooks Investment Co. Inc., Paul Fulton, president of Gaylord Brooks Construction, and Mark Moeller, formerly with Walbrook Lumber in Baltimore.
According to Fulton, the business was created in response to the increasing demand for custom cabinet work and millwork on renovation and remodeling projects, as well as new homes. All designs are handcrafted, he said.
Homeowner workshop on North Ave. Saturday
Neighborhood Housing Services of Coppin Heights and Provident Bank of Maryland are holding a free homeownership workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 2601 W. North Ave. Lunch will be provided for workshop participants. To reserve a seat, call 410-669-2634.

Builder's 1st Choice said Susan Ra and Lisa Karateew were honored recently by the Suburban Maryland Builder Industry Association. A sales associate for Timberlake Homes at Applegate in Prince George's County, Ra was named "Salesperson of the Year" in the townhouse-under-$130,000 category. Ra sold 99 homes last year with an average price of $115,000. Karateew was named "Sales Manager of the Year." She manages all Bozzuto Homes communities in Maryland.
Coldwell Banker Grempler Realty said Joann Pierro, Libby Eichelberger and Mary Borowy of the Eastern office, joined the International Presidents Circle, an award bestowed upon the top 4 percent of the 55,000 Coldwell Banker agents in North America.
Fountainhead Mortgage Group Ltd. reported it closed more than $66 million in loans during 1996, its first year of operation. Nancy Franklin of Timonium was the top loan originator and Patricia Lanciano of Gaithersburg was the top producer in mortgage and settlement transactions.
Harkins Builders Inc. has received two certificates from the National Associated General Contractors of America for its outstanding safety performance during 1996. The Silver Spring firm received Building Division awards for having "Zero Incidence Rate for 50,000 work hours" and "15 percent below division incidence rate."
O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors said Diana C. Bausman, a sales associate with the Jacksonville office, has earned the Accredited Buyer Representative and Certified Real Estate designations from the National Association of Realtors.
Builder's 1st Choice said Mark Builders has hired the firm to handle sales and marketing at Brookside, a Columbia community with townhouses priced from $125,000. Shirley Keeney is the sales manager at Brookside.

Bozzuto Group named Mark Barberich production manager for Bozzuto Homes. Barberich, who was with Ryland Homes for nine years, has a masters degree in business administration from Johns Hopkins University. Also assuming new positions were Carolyn Deveau, regional property manager for Bozzuto Management Co., and Scott Skokan, director of maintenance services for the management company.
Coldwell Banker Grempler Realty said Mary Vokman, Martin Engle and Adrian Dulin have joined the Perry Hall office as sales associates.
Fountainhead Mortgage Group Ltd. announced the following appointments: Patrick Moylan, formerly of Chase Manhattan Mortgage Co., director of builder services; John Berger, previously of Shelter Mortgage Co., director of affiliated business arrangements; John Bergeron, also from Shelter, financial officer; Michele Curtin, formerly of Citizens Bank and Fannie May, deputy director of secondary marketing/financial officer; and Jay Jang, from Maryland National Mortgage Corp., director of secondary marketing.
Prosperity Mortgage Co. a joint venture of Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. and Norwest Mortgage Inc., said Mike Dunn of the Lutherville/Timonium office and Dave Updike, of the Ellicott City and Columbia East offices, were named to the 1996 Leader's Club. The club consists of the top 5 percent of Norwest's 3,500 loan officers.
