4 seriously hurt in drive-by shooting in East Baltimore

Four people were seriously wounded early today in a drive-by shooting in East Baltimore, city police said.

The victims were standing on the corner of North Avenue and Chester Street, outside of a carryout food store, when a car pulled up about 12: 15 a.m. and someone inside opened fire, police said. The victims, whose names and conditions were not available last night, were taken to the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
