Charlotte A. Danaher, an avid bridge player and former secretary, died of cancer Thursday at Stella Maris Hospice in Towson. She was 90.

Charlotte A. Danaher, an avid bridge player and former secretary, died of cancer Thursday at Stella Maris Hospice in Towson. She was 90.
Born Charlotte Zinkand in Baltimore, she graduated from high school in 1923 and was a secretary for Standard Oil Co. until her marriage four years later to Jere J. Danaher, an Air Force major who died in 1991.
During World War II, she lived in Rome, N.Y., where her husband was stationed. There, she learned to play bridge and joined several card groups.
After the war, the couple settled in Towson, where Mrs. Danaher lived until this year, when she moved in with a daughter in Joppa.
She was a member of Ladies of the Elks at the Towson and Edgewood lodges and the Military and Civilian Spouses Club at Aberdeen Proving Ground, and until recently bowled with the St. Joseph's League in Timonium.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Road.
Survivors include a son, Jere J. Danaher Jr. of Lutherville; two daughters, Charlotte A. Grasmick of Lutherville and June M. Danaher of Joppa; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Timothy Edward Baker, 30, bank telemarketing worker
Timothy Edward Baker, 30, a telemarketing worker for Eastern Savings Bank, died in his sleep Thursday at a friend's home in Baltimore. The cause of death was unknown pending the results of an autopsy, his family said.
Born in Baltimore and raised in Eldersburg, he was a 1985 graduate of Loyola High School.
He attended Villa Julie College and graduated in 1993 from Towson State University.
He worked for the Baltimore Association for Retarded Citizens before going to work for the bank last year.
An avid dirt motorcyclist, Mr. Baker also enjoyed playing golf. He lived in Sparks.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Church Lane in Texas, Baltimore County.
He is survived by his parents, Eugene H. and Mary Joan Baker of Sparks; a brother, Patrick Baker of Woodsboro; and a sister, Teresa Baker of Blue Ridge Summit.
