A Parkville teen-ager pleaded guilty in Carroll County Circuit Court yesterday to assaulting a Westminster man last fall.
By plea agreement, Bruce E. McKnight Jr., 19, will be sentenced on Nov. 12 to no more than 31 days already spent in jail, if he cooperates by testifying in September against a co-defendant, accused of robbing Alan Brooks on East Main Street in Westminster on Nov. 20.
Westminster police said a car matching the description of the one used in the robbery was impounded after officers found it parked off Pennsylvania Avenue.
McKnight, who then lived in Cockeysville, and Tadashi L. Sturdivant, 19, of Hamilton, were arrested Nov. 20 after calling police to inquire about the missing car.
They were invited to police headquarters, where they were questioned and photographed.
Prosecutors said yesterday that Brooks identified McKnight from a photo lineup.
A $120 gold necklace and an $80 watch were taken in the robbery, prosecutors said.
