An 80-year-old Perry Hall woman was killed Saturday when the car in which she was a passenger collided with a station wagon at Philadelphia Road and Cowenton Avenue in White Marsh, Baltimore County police said.
Police said Frank Garrettson, 77, of the 2000 block of Kelbourne Road in Rosedale was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier north on Philadelphia about 8 p.m. when he attempted to turn left onto Cowenton in front of a 1987 Ford Taurus station wagon.
The Taurus struck the passenger side of the Cavalier, killing Laura Watson of the 9500 block of Perry Hall Blvd., police said.
Garrettson was in stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday, police said.
They said the driver of the station wagon, Allen Turner, 23, of the 7100 block of McClean Blvd. in Baltimore was treated at Franklin Square Hospital for minor injuries and released.
Police said the accident is being investigated.
