Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southern District

Burglary/arrests: Police entered a house in the 1900 block of Ramsay St. yesterday and arrested five boys between the ages of 9 and 13 before they could steal any goods. They were charged as juveniles and released to their parents' custody.

Theft/officer assaulted: After several people prevented a man from stealing a radar detector from a car parked in the 300 block of S. Fremont Ave. on Sunday, Officer Phillip Earp chased a suspect to a McDonald's in the 700 block of Washington Blvd. The suspect allegedly tried to hit Earp with a brick. Ashford Howell, 26, whose address was not available, was charged with attempted theft and assaulting Earp.

Robbery: A man from Washington was in the 800 block of S. Paca St. about 6 p.m. Sunday when a gunman robbed him of $30.

Northeastern District

Robbery: Two men assaulted a man in the 1600 block of Carswell St. about 10: 30 p.m. Sunday and robbed him of nearly $40.

Robbery: A 7-year-old boy was riding his bicycle in the 4500 block of Marble Hall Road about noon Sunday when two older boys pushed him to the pavement and stole the bike.

Robbery: Four men, one with a handgun, robbed three men of more than $50 in the 1600 block of Cliftmont Ave. about 8 p.m. Sunday.

Eastern District

Assault/arrest: Police arrested a man and were seeking an accomplice after a woman was robbed and stabbed in the neck with a knife in the 2500 block of E. Oliver St. about 8 a.m. Saturday.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: A gunman forced the driver of a 1987 Plymouth with tags DCT 506 out of the vehicle in the 4200 block of Frederick Road about 9 p.m. Sunday and drove off.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A trailer with tags 466151G, valued at more than $1,000, was stolen Sunday from a parking lot at Court Pleasant and German Hill Road.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Heavenly Ham in the 8800 block of Belair Road on Sunday and stole more than $500 from a safe.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: Three teen-age boys were at Midhurst and Pinehurst roads about 10 p.m. Saturday when they were accosted by about six other teen-agers, who robbed one of them of a watch.

Woodlawn Precinct

Theft: A bank bag containing more than $1,000 was stolen Sunday from an office at the Woolworth store in the 5600 block of Baltimore National Pike.

Carjacking: A woman was about to enter her 1987 Chevrolet Nova with tags CWH 372 on the Westview Mall parking lot about 7 p.m. Sunday when a man grabbed her car keys and, along with a second man, drove off in the car.

Robbery: A woman was leaving a business office in the 1700 block of Woodlawn Drive about 7 p.m. Saturday when a man stole her purse containing more than $500.

Suspect sought: Police have obtained a warrant charging Jeffrey Barnett Williams, 37, of the 3400 block of W. Forest Park Ave. with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting Thursday of Charles Anthony Byrd, 39, near his home in the 3700 block of W. Forest Park. Homicide Detective Michael Hammel said the shooting appeared to be drug-related.
