Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 5000 block Dorsey Hall Drive: A trailer belonging to Lancelotta Associates was entered Wednesday or Thursday. Nothing was taken.

Owen Brown: 7100 block of Talisman Lane: A four-door, gray 1995 Plymouth Acclaim was stolen Friday and later recovered.

Town Center: A two-door, black 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass with no tags was stolen Wednesday or Thursday.

Scaggsville: 9000 block of Old Scaggsville Road: Someone attempted to break into a house Wednesday or Thursday by cutting out window screens to the front and rear windows.

North Laurel: 9400 block of Mayflower Court: An apartment was broken into Wednesday or Thursday through an unlocked rear sliding glass door. A boom box, drill and phone were stolen.

Scaggsville: 8500 block of Pineway Drive: Someone entered two houses Wednesday or Thursday. One was ransacked; garage doors were removed from another.

Scaggsville: 10700 block of Scaggsville Road: Someone entered an unlocked garage Wednesday or Thursday and stole the contents of a purse in a car.

North Laurel: 7100 block of Pindell School Road: A vacant house was burglarized between April 14 and Thursday, when someone walked in through the front door. A computer and printer were stolen.
