County police arrested a Lanham man and a Riverdale boy early yesterday on charges of throwing rocks through the windows of houses in a Davidsonville neighborhood.

Kevin Michael Keys, 19, of the 6300 block of Cipriano Road in Lanham, and the youth, 15, were each charged with five counts of destruction of property. Police said the pair admitted breaking windows in 12 houses, causing more than $20,000 in damages.

At least five residents in communities off Governor's Bridge Road called police about 3 a.m. after vandals threw rocks through their windows. Police searched along the road and stopped a 1987 Nissan Sentra.

Police said they questioned a boy and a man, who pointed out the houses they vandalized. Police said the boy knew the area.

Hanover: Someone forced open the basement patio door of a house in the 7800 block of Kawshek Path between 10 a.m and 2: 45 p.m. Wednesday and stole two televisions, two videocassette recorders, a compact disc player, a video game system, and seven bottles of perfume. Police did not have a value for the items.
