Bowie Pitching Stifles Reading, 2-1

Two of the Orioles' top pitching prospects helped limit Reading to one run last night as the Bowie Baysox won, 2-1, in a Double-A Eastern League game at Prince George's Stadium.

Chris Fussell, named the system's fourth-best prospect by Baseball America, pitched five shutout innings before eventual winning pitcher Alvie Shepherd allowed one run over three innings. Matt Snyder picked up his second save.

Bulls 5, Keys 2: Durham (10-9) limited Frederick (11-7) to four hits and scored three runs in the sixth inning to win a Single-A Carolina League game at Durham Athletic Park.
