Boys' Latin lacrosse

A defensive specialist for top-ranked Boys' Latin, Glatzel did not allow a goal in victories over then-No. 2 Calvert Hall (13-4) and then-No. 3 Gilman (18-5). The senior also had a goal and assist against Calvert Hall.

Tony Jackson

Wilde Lake baseball

Jackson went 4-for-6 with four home runs and 10 runs batted in as Wilde Lake defeated River Hill (8-5), Oakland Mills (7-2). In an 8-2 loss to Centennial, the senior third baseman had two hits, a home run and two RBIs.

Katie Lafferty

Maryvale lacrosse

Lafferty scored six goals and had three assists as Maryvale upset then-No. 4 St. Paul's (12-7). The senior scored another six goals in a win over Seton Keough (14-3).

At the end of the school year each player chosen as an Athlete of the Week will be invited to a luncheon Monday, June 9, 1997 at the Towson Sheraton where one male and one female athlete of the year will be chosen.
