One man was killed and another critically injured after their cars collided on Route 32 about a mile north of Route 108 in Clarksville yesterday evening, county police said.

Police said Robert Lee Mundy, 32, of the 400 block of Windy Knoll Drive in Mount Airy, Carroll County, was driving a 1986 Ford Taurus north on Route 32 about 4: 35 p.m.

He crossed the double yellow line and crashed head-on into a southbound 1992 Chevrolet van driven by Chester Leland Bowser, 55, of the 7900 block of Liberty Road in Milford Mill, Baltimore County, police said.

Police said Mundy died at the scene and Bowser received facial and spinal injuries and was in critical condition at Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly.
