No. 1 Terps women top No. 13 Georgetown

Junior attack Cathy Nelson scored three goals and had three assists to lead No. 1 Maryland past No. 13 Georgetown, 15-10, in women's college lacrosse in Washington.

Stacy Duca and Lauren Hilsky led the Hoyas (6-6) with four goals each.

The Terrapins (12-0) opened the game with two quick goals. Dana Gwaltney put Maryland on the board 2: 05 into the game, and Missy Holmes gave the Terps a 2-0 edge 40 seconds later.

UMBC 19, Mount St. Mary's 8: Freshman Jessica Phoebus (Perry Hall) scored a season-high six goals and sophomore Debbie Krastel (Institute of Notre Dame) added five to help UMBC (4-6) sprint to an 11-1 halftime lead en route to a victory over visiting Mount St. Mary's (6-5).

Krastel added an assist as the Retrievers beat the Mountaineers for the second straight year.
