Dates set for disposal of hazardous home wastes

Anne Arundel County residents can dispose of cleaners, pesticides, batteries and other hazardous household wastes at Heritage Office Complex, 2662 Riva Road, Annapolis Saturday.

Representatives from the Department of Public Works, Recycling Division, will be on hand to accept these wastes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the government office park next to the Annapolis High School.

The program is open to any Anne Arundel County resident. Participants must show their driver's licenses as proof of residency.

Other dates and locations for hazardous waste disposal are: May 17, Western District Roads yard, 1427 Ducken St., Odenton.

June 21, Sudley Convenience Center, 5400 Nutwell Sudley Road, West River.

July 19, Glen Burnie Convenience Center, 100 Dover Road, Glen Burnie.

L Aug. 16, Heritage Office Complex, 2662 Riva Road, Annapolis.

Sept. 20, Western District Roads yard, 1427 Ducken St., Odenton.

Oct. 18, Glen Burnie Convenience Center, 100 Dover Road, Glen Burnie.

The hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants should keep products in the original containers and not mix products.
