Feel the beat of Africa and other cultures this weekend. Dancer and storyteller Maria Broom performs a one-woman show of song and dance in the multicultural program "The Gypsy Dance Bringer" at Enoch Pratt Free Library Saturday.

On Sunday, Broom plays the role of hostess as young dance talent graces the stage of Dunbar High School. The Eubie Blake Cultural Center sponsors the third annual African-American Dance Festival, with student dance groups from all over the city offering their finest routines.

The program at the Pratt Library, 400 Cathedral St., takes place Saturday at 1: 30 p.m. and is geared toward ages 5 to 12. Free. Call 410-396-5402. The dance festival at Dunbar High School, 1400 Orleans St., is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday . Tickets are $2; free for ages under 12. Call 410-625-3113.

Oh, what a little interior design can do for a house -- especially a three-story mansion.

Designers and students of design have transformed Wynddon Estate, a 19,500-square-foot residence in Phoenix, into the 21st annual Baltimore Symphony Decorators' Show House. From Sunday to May 18, visitors can tour the seven-acre estate, built in 1929 in a style reminiscent of traditional European architecture. Among the home's 38 decorated areas are 10 bedrooms, a library, a parlor, sun rooms and a 44-foot ballroom. Visitors can explore the boutique, enjoy light fare in the tea room.

There will be shuttle service from the Ridgely Road Shopping Center, at York and Ridgely roads in Towson, to the show house, on Jarrettsville Pike. The Baltimore Symphony Associates show house is open Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Call 410-337-0629 for tickets and directions.
