Howard County police have arrested two 16-year-old Columbia youths on charges of robbing a Wendy's restaurant in Ellicott City in October.

Police said Scott Edward Miller of the 7400 block of Swan Point Way and Victor Manuel Rivera of the 6500 block of Pennacook Court in Owen Brown village have been charged as adults with armed robbery, felony theft, first- and second-degree assault and robbery.

Police said they found several weapons, including a sawed-off shotgun, when they served a search and seizure warrant on Miller's home last month.

According to a report, $2,000 was taken from the Wendy's in the 9100 block of Route 108 on Oct. 30 when the store manager was forced to turn over money to armed robbers.

Miller was taken to the Howard County Detention Center and released $25,000 bail. Rivera was being held at the jail on $25,000 bail.
