Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southeastern District

Shooting: A 17-year-old girl was shot in the neck about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of McElderry St. She was about to enter a residence when one of two men at McElderry and Montford Avenue shot her. The bullet lodged in her left temple. She was in serious condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Police did not know whether the shooting was intentional.

Eastern District

Inmate escapes: Cory Richard Wangelin, 34, who was sentenced to five years in prison in 1995 for forgery and was scheduled to be released in June, did not return to the Division of Correction's prerelease center in the 900 block of Greenmount Ave. Saturday. Maxine Eldridge, an agency spokeswoman, said he could be sentenced to an additional 10 years when caught.

Northern District

Burglary: A .38-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver was stolen from the Gourmet & Spirit shop in the 6200 block of Bellona Ave. Saturday.

Central District

Robbery: A man was in the 100 block of E. North Ave. about 9: 15 a.m. Saturday when another man struck him with a baseball bat and robbed him of nearly $200.

Shooting: A 27-year-old man was in the passenger seat of a car in the 1800 block of N. Charles St. about 3 a.m. Saturday when a gunman fired into the vehicle, hitting him at least five times in the face, hip and torso. He was in serious condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northwestern District

Robbery: An employee of H & S Bakery was making a delivery at a grocery store in the 4200 block of Park Heights Ave. about 10: 10 a.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of more than $40.

Western District

Shooting: A 19-year-old man was fleeing a gunman in the 1900 block of N. Fulton Ave. about 3 p.m. yesterday when the gunman shot him in the right leg. The victim was treated at Liberty Medical Center and released.

Shooting: A man was standing in the 1900 block of N. Pulaski St. about 2 a.m. Saturday when the passenger of a passing car shot him in the right ankle. The man was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and released.

Southern District

Shooting: An 18-year-old man was seated in the passenger seat of a Toyota 4-Runner parked in the 900 block of Washington Blvd. about 1 a.m. Saturday when a gunman approached from the rear and shot him in the upper right leg. The man was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center and released.

Southwestern District

Stabbing: Police were seeking three men in the stabbing Saturday evening of a man in the 1200 block of Bernard St. The victim was stabbed several times in the abdomen and was in serious condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Stereo equipment of unknown value was stolen Friday from an apartment in the 6500 block of Falkirk Road.

Robbery: A man was at York Road and Sister Pierre Drive in Towson about 7 a.m. Saturday when another man asked him for the time. Before the victim could reply, a second man approached from behind and robbed him of his wallet, which contained an undisclosed sum of money.
