New positions

Rasmussen to key post at Glen Meadows

Presbyterian Senior Services appointed Ethel R. Rasmussen as director of resident services at its Glen Meadows Retirement Community. A graduate of Towson State University, the White Hall resident will implement and oversee all on-campus activities and events for the residents. She was formerly activities director for the Glen Arm-based facility. WMAR-TV, NewsChannel 2, named William Bradley as director of sales. The Saint Thomas University graduate held a similar position at WCCO-TV, Minneapolis-St. Paul, before joining the Baltimore affiliate of the ABC Network.

He also completed a management program at Harvard University.

Villa Julie picks director of corporate relations

Villa Julie College has chosen Gina L. Hause as director of corporate relations. Before joining the Stevenson-based college, the Bel Air resident was the Baltimore/Washington-Pittsburgh region sales manager for Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile.

Banking and finance

Gallagher is vice president at Heritage Savings Bank

Heritage Savings Bank, headquartered in Lutherville, has selected Daniel J. Gallagher as vice president. Formerly with Liberty Federal Savings & Loan Association, Gallagher is an MBA graduate of Loyola College and is treasurer and a member of the executive committee of the board of the Marion I. & Henry J. Knott Foundation.

He is chairman of the Loyola College MBA Fellows Advisory Board and is a member of the Management League of Financial Institutions.

Health care

Almquist heads region for Genesis ElderCare

Genesis ElderCare appointed David C. Almquist as president of its Chesapeake region. Formerly senior vice president for operations at Meridian Healthcare, the York, Pa., resident is a graduate of West Chester University.

He is a licensed nursing home administrator as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Healthcare Association and the Health Facilities Association of Maryland.


Four are appointed by Kann & Associates

Kann & Associates, Baltimore-based architects, named Marie-Therese Giguere project architect, Curt Schaefer and Rosalie Fenwick project designers and Denie Whiteley an interior designer.

Giguere, a master's graduate of the State University of New York, is currently involved with the restoration of the Lovely Lane United Methodist Church and is an instructor at Hood College.

Schaefer, a graduate of Temple University, specializes in educational facilities and is currently involved with projects at Baltimore City College and Baltimore Polytechnic Institute.

Fenwick, involved in the renovation of the Clarence M. Mitchell Courthouse, is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Whiteley, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, is currently working on the interior design of the new Department of General Services offices in Timonium.

Commercial real estate

Charles Lonsdale joins Casey/ONCOR International

Casey & Associate/ONCOR International appointed Charles Lonsdale as a sales and leasing associate in its Towson office. He will concentrate on the Harford County and Baltimore County markets. A Mount Washington resident, he is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
