Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Burglary: Hand and power tools and a compact disc player, all valued at nearly $1,500, were stolen Tuesday or yesterday from C & J Automotive, a repair shop in the 500 block of Baker St.

Burglary: Antique gold-leaf mirrors and a chandelier, all valued at nearly $5,000, were stolen between Saturday and Tuesday from a house in the 2200 block of Eutaw Place.

Eastern District

Assault: Two men were in the 1200 block of Darley Ave. arguing about money Tuesday when one of them struck the other in the chest with a metal pipe. The victim suffered broken ribs and was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Theft/arrest: Police arrested a man who entered a house in the 800 block of Bonaparte Ave. on Tuesday and stole stereo equipment and a television, all valued at $200.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A woman was in the 4500 block of Mountview Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed her of a wallet containing $12.

Western District

Robbery try: Two visiting nurses were about to enter a house in the 1500 block of N. Smallwood St. about 12: 20 p.m. Tuesday when a man struck one of them and tried to steal her purse. The woman resisted and the man fled.

Drug arrest: Officer Neal Janey was in an alley behind the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Ave. on Tuesday when he arrested a man who had 16 vials of suspected cocaine. Nathaniel Stackhouse, 29, of the 3500 block of Westbrook Ave. was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Theft/arrest: A man was arrested Tuesday when he attempted to leave Solid Creations, a clothing store at Mondawmin Mall, without paying for three dresses valued at nearly $50.

Northwestern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man of $30 in the 4000 block of Park Heights Ave. about 8: 15 p.m. Tuesday.

Northern District

Theft from vehicle: Tools, stereo speakers, clothing and a checkbook, all valued at $300, were stolen Tuesday from a Chevrolet van parked in the 2500 block of St. Paul St.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Three doors were damaged to gain entry to Genesis Health Ventures in the 500 block of Fairmount Ave. Monday night or Tuesday morning. No property was reported stolen, but desks were damaged in a search for valuables.

White Marsh Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A 1994 Plymouth Acclaim with tags DTJ 754 and valued at $14,000 was stolen Tuesday in the 6400 block of Rossville Blvd.

Stolen vehicle: A black 1996 Toyota 4-Runner with gold trim and valued at more than $31,000 was stolen Tuesday from Jerry's Toyota in the 8000 block of Belair Road.

North Point Precinct

Stolen car: A maroon four-door 1992 Dodge Spirit with tags NWT 496 was stolen Tuesday in the 7900 block of Wynbrook Road.

Homicide suspect arrested: Ulysses Shawn "Sleepy" Daniels, 19, of the 3000 block of Southland Road in South Baltimore was arrested yesterday in the 1900 block of Perlman Place by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on warrants charging him with first-degree murder in the death of a woman and the attempted murder of another. The shootings, which police said were drug-related, occurred March 28 in an apartment the women shared in the 900 block of Seagull Ave. in Cherry Hill. Charlene Jones, 36, was killed and Robin Lake, 37, was wounded. Daniels was being held without bail at the Central Booking and Intake Center.
