Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Elkridge: 5700 block of Railroad Ave.: Someone kicked in the door of a vacant house Sunday. Nothing was reported missing.

Ellicott City: 3200 block of Normandy Woods Drive: A wallet and jewelry were stolen from a house Friday or Saturday. There were no signs of forced entry.

Ellicott City: Intersection of Executive Park Drive and Webbed Foot: A two-tone maroon 1987 Pontiac Grand Am, Maryland license plate BSA-606, was stolen between Thursday and Sunday.

Kings Contrivance: 7600 block of Sweet Hours Way: A maroon 1987 Dodge Caravan with temporary tags was stolen Friday.

Harper's Choice: 11000 block of Berry Pick Lane: Someone forced open the front door to a house Saturday. Nothing was reported missing.

Hickory Ridge: 11800 block of Berry Pick Lane: Someone entered an unlocked garage Friday or Saturday and ransacked a car inside. Golf clubs, jewelry and clothes were also stolen.

Hickory Ridge: 5900 block of Watch Chain Way: A 31-year-old Landover man was arrested Friday and charged with theft after he allegedly broke into a house and stole a camcorder.

Wilde Lake: 10500 block of Faulkner Ridge Circle: Someone attempted to steal a 1997 Chevrolet Celebrity between March 31 and Saturday.

Dorsey: 6800 block of Douglas Legum Drive: Someone broke into Baltimore Sports Club yesterday and stole a cash register.

Savage: 8600 block of Greenwood Place: A white 1995 Ford CF8000 truck, Maryland license plates 153E54, was stolen Friday or Saturday.

Savage: 8500 block of Storch Woods Drive: Someone stole a blue, four-seat 1992 Ford Escort with temporary tags Thursday or Friday.

Clarksville: 13600 block of Ten Oaks Road: Someone stole a generator and tools from a shed Thursday or Friday.
