Howard County police said a Columbia man was assaulted and robbed on the parking lot of the Wilde Lake Village Center last week.

According to a police report, Bradley Scott Baker, who lives in the 8900 block of Skyrock Court in Kings Contrivance village, was approached by several men in the parking lot of The Pub on Twin Rivers Road about 10: 40 p.m. Friday.

Baker told police one of the men tried to pick a fight with him and began hitting him.

The suspects -- all of whom were identified as wearing dark clothing -- took Baker's wallet and fled on foot toward Faulkner Ridge Circle, a police report said.

Police later recovered Baker's wallet -- missing $250 -- nearby. The incident is under investigation.
