Thompson honored at Long & Foster

Mary Thompson of the Annapolis office earned "Overall Top Producer" honors for the Baltimore/Pennsylvania Regional Division of Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. for the fourth consecutive year. Thompson earned the honor with $12.7 million in settled sales volume for 1996.

A real estate agent since 1973, Thompson was "Top Lister of the Year" for the second straight year. She has been the top producer in the Annapolis office since 1980. Thompson is past president of Long & Foster's Gold Team, which is composed of the top 15 percent of the company's 6,000 sales associates.

Michael Yerman and Libby Berman of the Greenspring office again tied for the region's "Salesperson of the Year" honors with a sales volume of $11.73 million each. Harriett Wasserman and Marc Goldstein of the Pikesville Office won "Top Sales Team of the Year" in the Baltimore region.

The "Top Transfer Agent" was Charles Carroll of the Towson office, and the "Top Rookie of the Year" was Casey Miller of Timonium.

The Columbia location, headed by Peggy Gallagher, was the top-selling office based on dollar volume while the Pikesville office under the leadership of Bev Rosen sold the most properties.

Rounding out the firm's "Top Five Producers" for the Baltimore region are Richard Watson, Columbia; Berman and Yerman, Greenspring; David Desser, Pikesville; and Joan Cochran, Columbia.

Open house today in Original Northwood

The Original Northwood neighborhood will hold a "community open house" today from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can tour the townhomes, semidetached and individual homes in the neighborhood which sits between Loch Raven Boulevard, Argonne Drive and The Alameda.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn salutes Cindy Conklin

Cindy Conklin of the Federal Hill office won the 1996 "Top Company-wide Residential Associate" award for the 47 O'Conor, Piper & Flynn offices in Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Conklin sold just under $14 million worth of homes during the year.

"Top Company-wide Transaction Associate" honors went to Joan Klein of the Timonium office who sold 84 units while Suzanne Glocker of the Hagerstown site was the "Top Company-wide Listing Associate" with 96.

Dottie Thoms heads Residential Specialists

The Maryland/D.C. Chapter of the Certified Residential Specialists elected Dottie Thoms president for 1997. Other new officers are Jeffrey L. Underwood, president-elect; Dave McIlvaine, vice president; Abe Lehman, recording secretary; and Steve Jacobson, treasurer.

Re/Max Advantage Realty of Columbia said sales associate David McIlvaine has been inducted into the Re/Max Platinum Club, the firm's highest yearly honor. Platinum Club members must sell a minimum of $8.5 million worth of houses in a year.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors said sales associate Bill Burris took top listing honors in the Annapolis offices by bringing in more than 50 new properties, totaling over $7 million. For January, Burris brought in $1.7 million in new listings and sold seven homes. Burris holds the Graduate Realtor Institute designation from the National Association of Realtors.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors said sales associate Jane Brown RTC of its Eldersburg office sold homes valued at more than $1 million in November.

On the move

Gaylord Brooks Realty Co. Inc. and Gaylord Brooks Investment Co. Inc. named Thomas R. Moore vice president of marketing and sales for both firms. Moore has a bachelor's degree from Washington and Lee University and a master's from the Allen L. Berman Institute of Real Estate Development at Johns Hopkins University.

National Credit Counseling Services appointed Susan L. Cassidy director of mortgage services of the Columbia-based nonprofit organization, which offers professional debt counseling and educational services to consumers.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors said Jack Schwab joined its Owings Mills office as a sales associate.

The Ryland Group appointed Kathy Lindstrom, a certified public accountant, manager of financial operations in its Washington, Northern Virginia and suburban Maryland markets. Lindstrom previously served as controller for Stanley Martin Cos. Inc., a residential builder in Northern Virginia..
