New Windsor: Firefighters from Union Bridge, Taneytown and Westminster assisted New Windsor at 1: 15 p.m. Tuesday, responding to a van fire in the 3400 block of Uniontown Road. Units were out an hour and a half.

Taneytown: Firefighters from Harney, Union Bridge, Emmitsburg in Frederick County, Kingsdale, Pa., and Littlestown, Pa., assisted Taneytown at 12: 10 a.m. Tuesday, responding to an oil burner fire in the first block of Frederick St. Units were out 29 minutes.


Detour: A resident of the 7500 block of Middleburg Road told police that someone broke a mirror and scratched his vehicle while it was parked outside his home between 6: 30 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. Damage was estimated at $300.
