Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Robbery: An Ellicott City woman and her children were in the 100 block of N. Gay St. on their way to visit the Inner Harbor about noon Saturday when a gunman demanded the woman's money. When she said she had none, the gunman threatened to shoot one of her children. Fearing for her child's life, she gave the gunman a gold necklace valued at $300 and a diamond ring worth $200. The woman reported the robbery yesterday.

Robbery: A woman was in the 100 block of Concord St. about noon Monday when a teen-age boy armed with a handgun and a teen-age female accomplice robbed her of her purse and $3.

Burglary: Power tools, copper wiring and 100 feet of extension cord were stolen Monday or yesterday from the storeroom of a state office building under construction in the 500 block of St. Paul St.

Robbery: A man was about to enter an apartment building in the 1700 block of Park Ave. about 8 p.m. Monday when a gunman robbed him of his wallet containing $10, keys, credit cards, checkbooks and a pen.

Burglary: A Rolex watch valued at $4,100 and a gold and diamond tennis bracelet valued at $1,500 were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 1300 block of Eutaw Place. Entry was gained by removing a first-floor rear window grate.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of $14 in the 3600 block of Columbus Drive about 8 p.m. Monday.

Robbery: Two men were standing at a bus stop in the 2800 block of Liberty Heights Ave. about 12: 15 a.m. Monday when a gunman stepped out of a beige Oldsmobile and robbed one man of $50 and the other of $60 and a gold chain.

Eastern District

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone and other property, all valued at $500, were stolen Monday from a car parked in the 200 block of McAllister St.

Theft/arrest: Police arrested a man Monday when he tried to leave the Stop, Shop and Save grocery store in the 900 block of N. Caroline St. without paying for $5 worth of beef.

Western District

Shooting: A 28-year-old man was in the 1500 block of W. Baltimore St. about 11: 55 p.m. Monday when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his left back and right arm. The man was being treated for bullet wounds yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was in serious condition.

Northern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of an undisclosed large sum of money in the 2700 block of Spaulding Ave. about 9: 30 p.m. Monday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry of unknown value were stolen from a house in the first block of Dutrow Court between March 26 and Sunday.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A gold necklace of unknown value was stolen Monday from an apartment in the 1100 block of Donnington Circle.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed the Roy Rogers restaurant in the 11300 block of Reisterstown Road in Reisterstown of about $400 at 8: 50 p.m. Monday. After taking money from a cash register and safe, the man ordered at least two employees onto the floor and fled.
