AlliedSignal unit names Turner head of Navy programs

AlliedSignal Technical Services Corp., a unit of AlliedSignal, announced the appointment of the former director of telecommunications for Computer Sciences Corp., Elijah Turner, as its director of Navy programs. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he served aboard guided missile cruisers and was a seamanship and navigation instructor at the academy. He is a member of the Naval Reserve and also holds an MBA from Averett College. Gage Men's Stores has chosen Ed Neehan as director of advertising and marketing. He will have responsibility for all media advertising, public relations, marketing, direct mail and product promotion for the quality men's clothing chain. He was most recently marketing project manager for HCIA Inc., prior to joining the Baltimore-based retailer.

Furman, Young take posts with antiques dealer

Gaines McHale, dealer in antiques and home decor, announced the selections of Elizabeth Furman as controller and business manager and Rachel Young as a sales associate. Furman will oversee the daily business operation of the South Baltimore-based company and Young will assist in the sale of furnishings and accessories.

A graduate of Goucher College, Furman is a resident of Owings Mills, is active with the Baltimore Zoo and is on festival committees in Howard and Carroll counties. Young is a graduate of the University of Vermont and lives in Mount Washington.

Andrea Hicks Tahinos is director of client services

Ann Burnside Love & Associates named Andrea Hicks Tahinos as director of client services for the Frederick-based marketing and ad agency. She will be involved with client strategic planning and new business initiatives and will supervise and develop the account management staff. A graduate of West Virginia University and formerly with Ogilvy & Mather, she resides in New Market. IMRE & Associates announced that Mandy Katz has joined the agency as an account executive. Formerly with Kaiser Associates and Hartt & Co. in a similar capacity, she is a graduate of West Chester University.

Towson-based law firm adds Bremer of Virginia

Hodes, Ulman, Pessin & Katz has elected James Bremer as a member of the firm. He will be assigned to the firm's estate and tax planning division and establish the Towson-based law firm's Washington/Northern Virginia office. A member of the Maryland, District of Columbia and American bar associations, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Tax Court. A resident of Arlington, he co-author of the "Capital Gains Desk Book."

Crestar Bank names Davis vice president

Crestar Bank announced that Andrew Davis joined the Richmond-headquartered bank as vice president and senior relationship manager for its Maryland Region Private Banking Division. Recently he had been a vice president and manager with Citizens Bank. A certified benefits specialist, he is a resident of Baltimore.

Commercial real estate

Hicks & Rotner adds Hagey as broker

Hicks & Rotner Retail has added Jennifer L. Hagey to the staff as a broker. Formerly with JHP Realty as a leasing representative, she will now coordinate site selection, lease negotiation and landlord relations activities and will concentrate on shopping center leasing efforts in the Baltimore area. The Baldwin resident is a graduate of Washington College.
