Terps women win record 43rd in row

COLLEGE PARK -- The top-ranked Maryland women's lacrosse team established an NCAA Division I record yesterday with its 43rd consecutive victory, a 9-8 decision over Cornell at Ludwig Field.

The previous record of 42 had been held by the Cornell men's team from 1976 to '78.

Senior All-American Sarah Forbes scored three goals, including the game-winner with 7: 29 remaining, to lead the Terps.
