County police arrested two Glen Burnie men Wednesday on drug charges and uncovered an indoor marijuana-growing operation on the second floor of the house they share in the first block of Eighth Ave.

Robert John Ward and Brent Willis Baccala, both 27, were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police are looking for a third resident who was not at the home when it was raided about 8 p.m.

Police found the remains of a water garden in a second-floor bedroom, along with grow lights, plant pots, soil, fertilizer, pumps, an elaborate ventilation system and 13.6 grams of dead leaves and plant stems that tested positive for marijuana, police said.

In a bedroom drawer, police found 6 grams of cocaine with a street value of $600, police said. They also said several smoking devices were in the house.

Detective Tom McBride said neighbor complaints of illegal drug activity spurred a six-week investigation, during which undercover police bought drugs from residents of the house.
