Good Friday lessons, music to be discussed

The Rev. David A. Farmer, pastor, and Sharon L. Smith, director of church development and education, will discuss the lessons and music of Good Friday at noon today at University Baptist Church, 3501 N. Charles St.

"What I Have Witnessed" will be the theme of the early worship at 7: 30 a.m. in the chapel Easter Sunday. The annual breakfast will be served in Fellowship Hall at 8: 30 a.m., and the 11 a.m. worship service will include music by the church choir under the direction of Ronald J. Gretz, director or music and church organist.

Tenebrae service set at Towson Methodist

A Tenebrae service with a sacred cantata on "The Seven Last Words of Christ" by Theodore Dubois will be presented from 7: 30 p.m. to 8: 30 p.m. today at Towson United Methodist Church, Dulaney Valley Road and Hampton Lane. Admission is free.

Easter sunrise service at Methodist church

Timonium United Methodist Church will hold an Easter sunrise service at 6: 30 a.m. Communion services will be held at 9: 30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Six Methodist churches schedule vigil today

Six United Methodist churches in the Catonsville area will conduct a vigil of the Seven Last Words from noon to 3 p.m. todayat Catonsville United Methodist Church, 6 Melvin Ave. The public is invited.

Cantors group to sponsor two model Seder rites

The Cantors Association of Greater Baltimore is sponsoring two model Seder ceremonies.

The first will be held at 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday at the Jewish Convalescent Home, 7920 Scotts Level Road. Information: 410-521-3600. The second will be held at 11 a.m. April 8 at Concord Apartments/Levindale, 2500 W. Belvedere Ave. Information: 410-542-2675.

New Psalmist Baptist plans 3 Easter services

New Psalmist Baptist Church, 4501 Old Frederick Road, has scheduled Easter services for 7: 30 a.m., 9: 30 a.m. and 11: 30 a.m. The Rev. Walter Scott Thomas, pastor, will preside.

The church, which was formerly in downtown Baltimore, will celebrate its first year on Frederick Road on Easter Sunday. Information: 410-945-3000.

Creative Arts Ministry to present Easter musical

The Creative Arts Ministry of Shrewsbury Assembly will present "Behold the Lamb," an Easter musical, at 7 p.m. April 5 and at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 6 at the church, 234 N. Main St. in Shrewsbury, Pa.
